About the event
Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. (Wacif) and Onyx Therapy Group are partnering to host a series of community listening sessions focused on your experiences with the financial industry and your relationship with money. The second session will be held on July 17, 2025, at Sycamore & Oak (DC)
These sessions provide a safe space for community members to share, reflect, and explore how their history and experiences with money have shaped their lives and businesses. Together, we’ll examine how financial systems create both opportunities and obstacles - and discuss ways to overcome fear, distrust, and financial harm to promote wellness and build wealth for all.
Expect to discuss the barriers you’ve faced in accessing capital or financial programs, how easy or difficult it was to navigate those challenges, and the strategies you used to move forward. Additionally, WACIF will want to hear your perceptions of support — what’s worked…
